In the LIFE section of toworrow’s Clare People we go for a swim with Dusty the Dolphin and speak with one of the rising star of Irish literature, Sheila Bugler

In the LIFE section of this Tuesday’s Clare People we’re going for a swim with Ireland’s most famous animal, Dusty the Doolin Dolphin. Andrew Hamilton speaks with Jan Ploeg, a Dutch man who has made Dusty his life for the past 10 years.
Jan, who was one of the first people ever to swim with Dusty, tells of his experiences with this smart and complex mammal and a relationship which he describes as being closer to family than friend.
The sculptor, who spent his first nine years in Clare living in his car and camping in Fanore – just to be close to Dusty, also gives his opinions of the recent incidents between Dusty and swimmers, both in Doolin and in the Aran Islands.
Meanwhile, after receiving rave reviews for her debut novel ‘Hunting Shadow’, we catch up with writer Sheila Bugler. Ronan Judge caught up with her during a recent visit to Ennis and spoke about her new novel, ‘The Waiting Game’.
