Rescued dolphin dies, politicians set out their stall and Fantasy Hurling League kicks off. Today is Clare People day.

Tuesday is Clare People day, and this week we have another cracker for you. We bring you the first installment in our local election coverage (#clarele14). Beginning with Ennis, we quiz the candidates, say goodbye to the town council and check out what exactly our would be councillors are saying on the Twitter machine.

In News, Ennis Gardaí warn of the threat of bogus work crews in the area, disrespectful dumping at Kilrush graveyard, and a local MMA fighter’s rescue attempt fails to save Doonbeg dolphin. We have coverage of the first National Men’s Shed Conference which took place in the Banner county over the weekend and we also bring you three pages of court reports.

In Sport, we have reports and reaction from the Oscar Traynor Cup Final, the National Football League Division 4 Final, the Clare Minor Football and Hurling action, a round up of the weekend action from the Clare Cup, as well as Cusack and Garry Cup previews. We have a match report on Clare camogie’s National League Semi-Final victory and a preview of their first foray into the National League Final against Kilkenny.

We also have the launch of The People’s Team, our very own Fantasy Hurling League. Pick your top 15 ahead of the Clare Senior Hurling Championship and do battle with the best tacticians in the county.
