Ennis to Limerick rail line to remain close until end of April or start of May

The Ennis to Limerick rail line flooded in 2008.

Irish Rail have confirmed that due to severe flooding at Ballycar, bus transfers will remain in operation between Ennis and Limerick until late April/Early May
The Limerick/Ennis line has flooded following a significant increase in water levels at Ballycar Lough due to the recent sustained heavy rainfall, and the slow draining nature of the karst landscape in the area. The line has been closed since February 2 and water levels have not yet receded.
