Home & Away star Brax turns heads during Ennis break

CLARECASTLE woman Jane Scanlon was the envy of women all over the county when she met Home and Away star Steve Peacock, better known to fans of the Australian soap as Brax, in one of her favourite bars on Saturday night.
She and a group of friends had just gone out “for a few quite drinks” when they spotted the actor in Fawl’s Bar, opposite the Cathedral in Ennis.
The actor was on a promotional tour of a number of Irish nightclubs when he took time off for a short break in County Clare.
They were ordering their drinks in the pub, also known as the Railway Bar, when one of Jane’s friends noticed the actor sitting at the bar having a drink with his girlfriend.
“There were only seven or eight in the pub at the time, a lot of people did not know who he was. There was one couple alright who had been wondering if it was him,” Jane told The Clare People. “He had a hat on so we didn’t really notice him at first.”
When the girls approached him, he was happy to chat for a few minutes and have his photo taken with them.
“He was very nice and very obliging. We were talking for a few seconds. Then he finished his drink and left shortly afterwards,” she said.
It is understood that the couple had dined in the Old Ground earlier that evening. The actor was on a break from his promotional work while in Clare.
