MICK O’Dwyer came to Clare a couple of months ago to give a keynote address at a business breakfast hosted at the new interpretative centre at the Cliffs of Moher by Mangans Brothers Cash and Carry to celebrate 50 years in business. No doubt Micko was paid handsomely for his contribution, but was value for that money. All because he entertained with his anecdotes about his life in football that could be applied to the business world. He took everyone on a journey that morning. His senior inter-county championship debut came 50 years ago when Kerry travelled to Waterford for a Munster semi-final (Kerry travel to Waterford again next Sunday). Micko didn’t mention that game in 1957 – maybe because Kerry were sensationally beaten. Registration is required to view this content, registration is FREE |
