IT HASN’T even warranted a footnote in Clare’s hurling year so far. With the blood on the tracks of Clare county hurling capturing imaginations everywhere, it slipped well under the radar. Until now that is. Sad, very sad, to report a death in the hurling family. That’s what has happened in the proud hurling outpost that is Kilkee/Bealaha. Proud, but no more, because the Kilkee/Bealaha club has ceased operations. Consigned to the dustbin and yellowing pages of hurling history thanks to its annual general meeting that was held a few months back.
