THIS is a big week for show jumping, that pursuit that has been put back on the map in recent times by Clare’s Marie Burke and her brilliant stallion Chippison who flew the Irish flag highest at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen last year. They’ve earned quite a reputation for themselves in recent years, prompting legendary rider Nick Skelton to say “Chippison is a true superstar, one of the best Irish horses I have seen in a long time”.
