The crystal ball must be on the blink. Ten months on from their last meeting in the O’Gorman Cup final, Kilmurry Ibrickane and Lissycasey’s fortunes have altereded dramatically ...twice. Kilmurry Ibrickane were the victors of that first football trophy of 2007 back in July but few that day could have predicted the contrasting fortunes for the remainder of the season as Lissycasey created history by winning the double while the Quilty side faltered at the group stages of the championship.
This year, early pronouncements were again turned on their head with Kilmurry Ibrickane dominating both the O’Gorman and Cusack competitions while Lissycasey have fallen on harsh times without a win and are destined to play Division two football next year.
