At least one small part of my life has now been resolved. It took four years to finally find peace again. Every where I go, every GAA function or celebration across the country I attended, the topic was always somehow broached gently by some poor brave soul who asked...when will the Sunday Game music be brought back? Alleluia my dear brethren, the day has come and it was last Sunday. Four years after it was initially taken from our bosom, it was returned to all GAA people from the Studio in Dublin 4 sounding a lot snazzier and sexier than ever before. There are just a few television programmes that come to mind where what they call the “signature tune” was so crucial to people’s lives.
