Bunratty hold out against Moher
Written by Eoin Brennan

Bunratty 2  -  Moher Celtic 1 at the County Grounds, Ennis (cup semi final)

A professional performance by cup specialists Bunratty who held out to secure their first final appearance in four years. A goal in each half did the damage on luckless Moher who will wonder how they did not get something out of this tie.
Bunratty’s cup pedigree was well known with four Clare Cup successes in the last ten years while Moher were hoping to reach their third final in four years so it was an intriguing battle of wits and wills at the County Grounds. That Bunratty eventually emerged victorious was largely due to their defensive qualities as well as their ability to take their chances, a total contrast to Moher who did everything but score for long periods of the game.
