| Mixed fortunes for Munster |

It’s been a week of mixed fortunes for Munster. The trip to Ravenhill was memorable for all the wrong reasons. Losing there was bad enough but to pick up two injuries in the process made things a hell of a lot worse. Niall Ronan and Barry Murphy both suffered dislocated thumbs and are now out for the remainder of the season. Murphy has had awful luck with injuries. He was just coming back from a broken leg and was in good form. This latest knock is going to really set him again. On a more positive note, Munster’s victory over the Llanelli was a great result. Although the lads played poorly in the first half, they turned things around after the break and put in a really decent performance. Ian Dowling had a fine game. He has a savage appetite for work and is always looking to get involved in proceedings. It’s a massive attribute in a winger and his two tries in Stradey Park were just reward for his endeavour.
