Commenting on reports that no funds have been allocated to begin work on the Galway to Ennis section of the N18, Deputy Joe Carey has expressed concern that the Gort-Crusheen by-pass may now have an uncertain future.
“At the very best, it looks as if all we can hope for is to have free-flowing traffic some time in 2014. The NRA has confirmed that the €20 million allocated towards the N18 this year will go on land purchase, archaeological and site surveys”, Deputy Carey explained.
