Dear Sirs, IT IS with great sadness that I read about your festering dispute over the gorgeous Gorse Hill, and how a once vibrant friendship has descended into rancour and, furthermore, into the courts. As a highly regarded confidante of the pair of you - Pat, I’ll be returning your Will and Grace boxsets shortly; Gerard, I need the lend of your DVD scratch remover - I can assure you this dispute does not bring me any satisfaction, and the sooner this squabbling is removed from the salacious tittle-tattle sections of the back pages, and off the grubby agenda of the chattering classes, the better for everyone concerned.
