GOLF writer Ivan Morris is well-known to followers of the game in Clare. He’s a self-confessed golf nut, so much so that back in 2001 he became the first non-American to be voted Golf Nut of the Year by the Golf Nut Society of America. More recently his book, The Doonbeg Ghosts, provided an innovative insight into the game in Clare, something that prompted a rave review from the Doughmore links’ designer Greg Norman. “Ivan Morris may be a certified golf nut, but he has an enviable flair for playing golf and writing about it. He has succeeded in encapsulating the ambiance of Doonbeg perfectly,” wrote the Great White Shark. Registration is required to view this content, registration is FREE |
