Please tell me you are no different to me. Please tell me you ask yourself where did the last 12 months go? Have you been asked over the Christmas period about some incident or some event in your professional or personal life that you thought was just about two years ago only to discover quite shockingly that it was in fact five, six or worse still ten years ago ? If your answer is yes to any or all of the above, then welcome to my world. How many of you remember the buzz, the hype of 2000? Do you remember the Millennium? Moving from the 20th to 21st Century was big all over the world. Well guess what? That’s now eight years ago. It is frightening to see our lives going so fast and even more frightening to assess that if we are to slow down we actually need to get off the roller coaster for a little while. I thought about it myself this Christmas but I won’t be stepping off the roller coaster. Why? I have too much to do over the next 12 months. 2008 is a busy year at work for everybody and not just me.
