THE search for missing person Jack Dinan continues following confusion over a possible sighting of an armed individual in Dublin on Wednesday.
At approximately 6.30pm on Wednesday, November 1, Gardai in Dublin decided to evacuate Blanchardstown Shopping Centre following a call from a member of public who believed they had sighted the 19-year-old Ennis man.
Following a full search of the shopping centre, no armed person was located and the centre was reopened.
Jack’s whereabouts are still unknown and Gardai are unsure if the sighting was that of the Clare teenager.
Gardai are appealing to the public to remain vigilant and have thanked the public for their assistance in the matter so far.
“There has been no update in relation to missing person Jack Dinan,” said a spokesperson for An Gardai Siochana.
Jack Dinan has been missing since Tuesday morning when he was last seen leaving his home on Considine Road in Ennis who the gardai have said is believed to be armed and should not be approached by the public.

Gardai at Ennis Garda Station have asked the public to contact 065 6848100 or the emergency services on 999 or 112 if they have any information on Jack’s whereabouts.
