The last independent to be elected to Dáil Éireann for the Clare constituency has hailed the performance of his impending successor as what he calls “an independent voice for the people of Clare”
Speaking to The Clare People, Mayor of Clare, James Breen said that Dr Michael Harty’s campaign was yet another illustration of how important the health services are to the people of Clare.
Paying tribute to all candidates who put their name forward for election, Cllr Breen said the four candidates from the county who are returned to the 32nd Dáil must put the people of Clare and their needs before everything else when they take their place in Leinster House.
