In the Life section of this Tuesday’s Clare People we find love at The Outing and salute Summerhill in Ennis

In the LIFE section of this Tuesday’s Clare People we are going to The Outing – the worlds first gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered matchmaking festival which returns to Lisdoonvarna next weekend. Andrew Hamilton speaks to Darren Byrne, who made the trip to Lisdoon for the very first Outing last September, and came away with more then he bargained for. Because amidst all the glamor and dancing, Darren found love.
Also this week we salute Summerhill, an area of Ennis rich in history and character. It’s stories and those of the people who lived there are recalled in a new book that will be launched in Ennis on Thursday night. Ronan Judge speaks to author and Summerhill native Nuala Kennedy about a research project that became a labour of love.
