Search continues for missing Clonlara student

A SEARCH IS continuing for a Clonlara student who has been missing since the early hours of Thursday morning.
Stephen Kavanagh (21), who is a vice president of the LIT Students’ Union, got into a taxi at the Thomond Student Village in Limerick at 1.50am on Thursday morning and is believed to have been last seen getting out of the taxi on the Killaloe side of the Clonlara bridge.
When last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, black shoes and a black jacket.
Students from LIT are taking part in the search today with buses organised to take students to the area where Stephen was last seen.
A Garda spokesperson said that several search and rescue groups, including the Killaloe Coast Guard and Limerick Search and Rescue, are involved in the search for Stephen.
