Clare County Councillor Brian Meaney (GP) is preparing for a difficult Clare County Council Election.
He expressed his gratitude to Fianna Fáil this afternoon for adding him to the ticket for the 2014 Local Elections.
The former Green party member was added to the Ennis ballot paper along with Quin barrister and restaurant owner Clare Colleran Molloy.
He told the Clare People that he was expecting a difficult and different election, but that is nothing new to the man from Barefield.
“Every election is different and every election I have ever entered into is different,” he said.
Cllr Meaney, who currently sits on Clare County Council and the soon to be dissolved Ennis Town Council, also denied that a deal was done between himself and Fianna Fáil when he transferred to the Soldiers of Destiny from the Green Party last April.
Full details in the Clare People – December 30.
