Final details of a new ‘locals pass’ for the Cliffs of Moher should be announced in the coming week, with the issue of who is “local” being the last stumbling block to be resolved. The Clare People understands that the ticket, which will cost between €12 and €18, will allow local people to park and access the world famous visitors site for a full calendar year. Cliffs Centre manager Katherine Webster says discussions are at an advanced stage between the management at the Cliffs of Moher and a number of stakeholders with the exact definition of “local” being one of the final condition remaining to be worked out.

Its absolutly crazy that people have to pay to see cliffs. What is that all about. You shouldn't have to pay to see any of our national landscapes. What a joke!
